For those of you who have ever seen the movie or play “Guys & Dolls” you will recognize the title of this weeks blog as the title of the opening song “Horse Right Here”. But instead of the horse being named Paul Revere this ones name is Buddy.
Last weekend I decided to drive over to one of my favorite beaches, Tod’s Point (officially called Greenwich Point Beach), in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. It is a beautiful town beach that I spent many a summer day there when I lived in Greenwich. It is a wonderful place to take a walk, bird watch and in this instance find a horse and carriage. I was driving around taking some photos when out of the corner of my eye I see this beautiful horse and carriage moving along the roads. When he stopped to take a break I ran over and started shooting. I have never seen a horse and carriage at Tod’s Point so it was a real treat catching them there that day.
I spoke with Buddy’s owner and found out they live about six miles from Tod’s Point so it’s a nice twelve-mile round trip for them. Here are a few more pictures of this beautiful team.

Tod’s Point is one of the first places I took pictures when I got back into photography last winter. The sunsets and scenery are just beautiful here.

The next two photographs are of the Nature Center at Tod’s Point. I love the weathered New England style house.

This is one of the cottages that is now used for storage. Again, it’s that beautiful New England architecture that I love.

What sweet horses – and the gull shot at sunset is amazing!
Thank you Debra! The horse was really sweet!
Winter looks so lovely in your photos. You’ve captured the essence of being by the sea 🙂 and the horse is a beauty!
Thank you Marina! However, today I shoveled 6 inches of snow!
Gosh – I was slipping and sliding all over unshoveled pathways 😉 You’re good to be out there, doing that. I was reminiscing about a recent trip the Atlantic City all day. Blue skies and no snow!
VERY NIKE
