The Beckoning

I was up in Tweksbury, Masshachusetts yesterday photographing the old abandoned sections of the Twskesbury State Hospital. It started out as an almshouse and then became a hospital for the mental and physically ill. Anne Sullivan, teacher to Helen Keller, was one of their famous patients. She was left there by her father when she started to become blind.
This is one of the many staircases in the buildings and I loved the orange light that was coming down the staircase. Looks like it is right out of a horror movie.
great photo…really like it
Thank you Steve!
Indeed, orange light from the staircase spilling into the monochrome room is quite stricking!
Thank you C.S.!
