Packard Plant

I traveled out to Detroit, Michigan last week to photograph the abandoned Packard Plant with Abandoned America.  The Packard Motor Car Company was built the plant in 1903 and was designed by Albert Kahn.   The plant encompassed 3.5 million square feet and is considered one of the largest abandoned industrial sites in the country.  The plant closed in 1957 and has stood abandoned ever since.  The plant was recently purchased and the new owners have started “The Packard Plant Project” which entails revitalizing the existing buildings.

I photographed the images using both my Fuji X-T1 and IPhone X.
