I was out and about with the night photography group, The Night Becomes Magic, this past Friday night.  We headed over to Hoboken to shoot at the Erie-Lackawanna Terminal and Esplanade.  The night was cloudy but we were still able to capture beautiful views of the New York skyline and the terminal.  The Erie-Lackawanna terminal is located in Hoboken, New Jersey.  It was built in 1907 by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad.  It was designed by architect Kenneth Murchison in the Beaux-Arts style.

These are a few photographs of the outside of the terminal.  I ran out of time and will have to go back to shoot the interior which is really quite beautiful.

The Esplanade next to the terminal is a beautiful place to spend an evening watching the ferry boats going back and forth to Manhattan  and looking at a spectacular view of New York City.   I wanted to shoot the skyline as a backdrop to the park rather than the skyline alone since I had plenty of skyline at Gantry Park last week.

This was a really neat seating area.  I loved the red mat these marble globes were seated on.

The W Hotel located off the esplanade.  About two blocks from the esplanade is a street lined with great restaurants.  I plan on going back to Hoboken to photograph because there is so much to see here.
